SQM Replication Project Update 23-08-05.
Well this weekend has been fascinating.
It has proved very important to
magnetise the magnets and check the
field patterns when magnetising the
magnets. My magnetising setup is fully
home made and being able to magnetise
the Isotropic magnets in different ways
is very interesting and very informative
to see how the magnetic field is made in
the magnet. I am only using 10,000uf at
1,200 Volts. This is enough to magnetise
the magnets but not saturate magnets of
this size. I think, at the moment I may
not need to fully saturise the magnets.
I have built the magnetization fixture
and am very happy with its simplicity. I
was up, and started, at 3AM this
morning, here I was sitting there
thinking about what I needed, and it
popped into my mind. Many large magnets
that have a flat face have a C-Frame to
magnetise them. This would be costly to
build and heavy to move around. I wanted
a simple easy to move and magnetise
magnetization fixture.

Front left centre is the Magnetising
Fixture I built and the Capacitor Bank
of 10,000uf rated at 1200 Volts. The
Magnet sits inside the Structure and the
pulse then is discharged. This
magnetises the magnet evenly and leaves
a good magnetic field pattern in the
magnet.
Here you can see we have replaced the
amplifier also. It is a 550 Watt Optimus
Amp. I have used a Micro Wave
Transformer with a 10:1 ratio (So 100
Volts input is 1000 Volts output). The
Diode Bridge is rated at 60 Amp and 1KV.
The SCR is the same as the SCR as I used
on the conditioning circuit. I have also
used the same Triac I used in the
original Conditioning circuit. Warning
(Do not over charge Capacitors, They
will explode!!!).

For those people that have not worked
with Capacitors much, make sure you work
out the ratings properly or you could
end up with some problems and or
injuries. Visit this page to find out
more about Capacitors.

Someone said to me today "I am not
intelligent enough to do that". Well I
nearly fell over, really intelligence
has nothing to do with it. It is all
about "WILL POWER". If you want to learn
it you will. Most of us come from
POOR family's that could not afford
to send us to expensive collage's or
university's to get educated. I thought
to myself well the information is out
there and I want to learn it. So I did.
I have learnt a lot in 12 months and my
circuits and experiments are coming a
long way very quickly. One of my goals
is to go to the moon while I am still
alive and my deductions led me to
believe, if I want to do it, I must do
it myself. The government is not going
to send me (or you) unless I come from a
rich family that has influence or you
are extremely lucky.
I suppose the lesson is to not
underestimate yourself. AND DO IT. Check
out Burt Rutan. (Hey he won the X-Prize)
He is doing it as well.
I am working hard, and most important,
is to achieve the goal of a working SQM,
and time will give us that goal. I have
had a few offers of cash, but am not
taking any Cash injections with expected
returns. Donations are accepted but not
expected. In this field there are to
many rip offs and cheats. Hoaxers are
the worst.
A few more people are ordering magnets
and other hardware for their own SQM
projects. Many are sending me Emails
asking questions and a lot of questions
are answered on the SQM replication
page, but I don't mind sending an Email
to answer their questions again. As long
as these people share their Information
as I have.
I am very happy with this weekends
efforts and am very excited about
further experiments. Magnetising magnets
is not just fun, it is great fun, and so
simple. Remember Isotropic is what you
want at this point of the SQM
Replication stage. Oh I am also using a
CRT, PC monitor, plugged in and turned
on, to see the field lines. IBM Flat
screen appears to be quite good. Next
update I will post some pictures.
More coming soon everyone...
